My thoughts
چند روزه که درگیر کار های درمان پدرم هستم. واقعا سیستم درمان و بیمه ایران به شدت فرسوده، time-consuming و با دوندگی بالا و اعصاب خرد کنه!
یعنی اگه وزارت بهداشت رو میدادن دست یک برنامه نویس، ۷۰ درصد کارهای سیستم درمان رو اتوماتیک میکرد.
از کمبود نیرو، چه پزشکی و چه خدمات، حقوق های ناکافی، ابزار فرسوده و …. که دیگه نگم.
I was reading an article from HamMihan about the unfathomable drop in bank card swipes!
According to the stats from Khordad, about 44HMT1 have been shaved off Iran’s total revenue. In other words, people are spending even less than they did last month, and that only points to one thing: we’re getting poorer by the day. Inflation is devouring whatever our money is worth, and there’s nothing we can do about it 🙁
The article also mentions that Tehran was the only place where transaction numbers didn’t drop as much as last year!
I don’t know how we can be so indifferent, so ignorant, so oblivious, while the south of my country—my province, cities next to mine—is being bombed and destroyed, and yet I cannot see any action being taken, as if we don’t exist or simply aren’t worth considering. 🙁
This feeling of powerlessness just drains the life out of people. I look around and watch my friends slowly become pale shadows of their former, vibrant selves. They smile, just like Mo Salah1, but inside they’re hollow, carrying a universe of lost hopes and quiet sorrow. As for me, I fight it day and night. These thoughts creep in, trying to snuff out the last remnants of hope and the future I still dare to imagine. But then I tell myself: “Push forward”. I repeat it constantly—through every scenario, every defeat. Because I cannot accept this defeat. If I do, it’s over, it’s the end for me.

از Peter Reuell’s My dinner with Dr. Hawking
در آوریل ۲۰۱۶ یه مهمونی شام تو خونه یکی از استادای هاروارد برگزار شد. استیون هاوکینگ هم اونجا بود. یه جمع ۷۰ نفری از دانشجوها و اساتید اومده بودن. همه فکر میکردن هاوکینگ درباره فیزیک یا سیاهچاله حرف میزنه 🙂 ولی به جاش یک خاطره از دوران جوونی اش گفت.
سال ۱۹۶۲ بود که لیسانسم رو گرفتم و با یه بورس کوچک گفتم برم سفر، هرچه دورتر برم شانس بیشتری برای گرفتن بورس دارم. پس ایران رو انتخاب کردم و با یه دوست از آکسفورد راه افتادیم، رفتیم استانبول، بعد با قطار رفتیم ترکیه، بعد سوار اتوبوس شدیم و اومدیم ایران، از تبریز رفتیم تهران و بعد هم کویر مرکزی!
توی راه برگشت، گیر افتادیم توی زلزله بویینزهرا، یه زلزله بزرگ ۷.۱ ریشتری که بیش از ۱۲ هزار نفر رو کشت، حتماً نزدیک کانون زلزله بودم ولی اصلاً نفهمیدم چون مریض بودم و اتوبوس توی جادههای ناهموار ایران میپرید.1 تا رسیدیم استانبول تازه فهمیدیم چه خبره، اونجا یه کارت پستال برای پدر و مادرم فرستادم که ۱۰ روز بود نگران بودن چون آخرین چیزی که شنیده بودن این بود که روز زلزله رفتم سمت منطقهای که زلزله اومده.
ولی با همه اینا خاطرات خوبی از ایران دارم و دوست دارم یه روز دوباره برم اونجا، خوشحالم امشب کنار شما هستم و حالا هم به قول خود ایرانیا: “نوشجان!“
در حالی که دارم این پست رو مینویسم، هنوز باورم نمیشه که هاوکینگ با بورسیه آکسفورد اومده ایران 🙂
